Oooo la la. I am in love with big house plants. We have a huge old Cheese plant in our sitting room, who I am resisting re-potting (although he needs it) because he is getting huge! But I will soon :)
The top plants are all Ficus Lyrata, one of my favourites and defiantly on my dream home shopping list
Hi, I just found your lovely blog and I'm so happy!! I'm a little obsessed with interiors and cosy spaces and it's hard to find inspiration with all the over-styled images that are out there. Your blog has just want I want to look at and read about - thank you! Best wishes for 2011. ~Siobhan
ReplyDeleteHOW gorgeous. I've been about five minutes away from buying one of those big-leafed Ficuses for months, and now I HAVE to go get one like right now.
ReplyDeleteI do have a big Bird of Paradise, though (the last photo), and I absolutely adore it. They're SO pretty and giant and proud - and the thing gains a foot of height (or more) every time a new giant leaf opens up!
Wow - the tree in the third pic is well on its way to taking over that room. Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to having a big, bright house that I can make a mini-jungle out of. We have two large dracaena-type plants now, but I think they're slowly dying because we live in a cave. :(
your posts are refreshing as always!
ReplyDeleteand i love big plants, too, thats one thing i cannot have in my camper :)
LOVE these big house plants!!
ReplyDeleteThose money tree ficus are so soothing.
ReplyDeleteThey really infuse the spaces, literally and figuratively, with a breath of fresh air.
In other fodder, I've awarded you a Stylish Blogger Award. It's a bit like a bloggy chain-letter, I've found, so don't feel obligated to play along. If you'd like to snag the button for your site, you can check it out here:

Beautiful! :) Plants in the home automatically make everything look and feel better; especially in bright rooms like these!
