Building your dream home....

In the woods
The natural house, Mexico
Weird and wonderful

Mushroom house

Gypsy bus

Plant covered

Roger Wade studio

Tree house
Wouldn't it be great to build your own home? To wake up in the morning in the exact location that you personally chose for your home? I currently live in the city but if I had my way I would be in the countryside for sure, in a wooden home with big windows, in a forest band by the sea. Ah to dream?

Where would you choose your dream home?

edit. Thank you worker bee for letting me know the 'gandalf hat' one is The Sea Ranch Chapel

I've always wanted to live in a glorified tree house, Swiss Family Robinson style, but that mushroom house is amazing!

I have been looking at houses lately, all over the place and what always appeals to me are houses in the woods. So the first is good and that tree house really is wonderful !
If it is windy, does it rock you to sleep at night ? :)

ohh lovely houses!
although i live in the country and am surrounded by forest and i love my home...but the building itself is not my dream home.
i have lots of dream homes though~hobbit holes, tree houses, on wheels but i guess i need to focus on making this home my dream home!

The third house down from top is the Sea Ranch Chapel that is open to the public and right along Hwy 1 in Sonoma Co (110 miles north of SF) For info and photos check here http://www.thesearanchchapel.org/

Those are all marvelous- they have such personality compared the boxes we mostly live it!- but I like the tree house and the one that looks like Gandalf's hat best.

I'd want green space around me if I built my dream house. Probably in western Oregon somewhere. Or England! But figuring out the style would be hard- so many aesthetics appeal to me. Tree house? Victorian? Castle? Too many choices!

Ahh! The Sea Ranch Chapel! I have been in there! The inside is all cute and tiny and all the windows are stained glass, so it's really pretty :)

The natural house, Mexico is quite a star! The architectural landscape of the house is fascinating! It must be very cozy living in that house. And it is very eco-friendly, too.

Those dream homes look unique. My dream home will be located near the sea. I love the smell of the sea in the morning. Not to mention the pleasure of seeing the activities at the beach through my windows.

That "mushroom" house actually reminds me a lot of a banksia pod because of the way the windows are done. See here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/simonewalsh/3869537405/

I cannot believe what I am seeing! These houses are literally one of a kind. Oh, I could live in any of these petite homes. Make your dream come true, my friend. I’d be really happy for you once you set foot on your own dream house, in your dream location. It’ll be really nice. :))))

It would be really great! The forest is the perfect location to just relax and live life on your own. No cars, no noise, no people fighting and stressing over different sorts of stuff, no pressure, just fresh air and peaceful surroundings. Why not make this dream come true, buddy? Anything is possible. :D
