Amsterdam: Bar Botanique Cafe Tropique
I just adore this beautiful 1930's esque cafe, completed last year in Amsterdam. The colours and lighting used in the interior kinda remind me of something from a Wes Anderson film. It just looks like the perfect place to sip a Gin and Tonic and people watch. I will definitely be visiting Bar Boutique Cafe Tropique when I return to Amsterdam!
"Plants have a strong presence in the interior. Palm trees, philodendron, ferns and monsteras create an ever changing interior. Highlighted with lamps, the plants create dramatic effects on the ceiling and walls, as the sun goes down the shadows become more present and the bar life begins."

| St Werbergs City Farm Cafe |
This is a bit of an impromptu post so I am afraid the photos are not the best quality (had trouble getting them off instagram) but I thought it was about time I showed off some of the beautiful places I visit in my home city Bristol, England..... this morning I was at St Werbergs cafe and the inspiration hit me to snap a few photos of my favorite cafe...
St Werbergs Farm cafe is one of my all time favorites. St Werbergs City Farm cafe is a 5 minute walk from my house and is accessible by a small cycle path that passes through allotments and a nature walk. It is such a beautiful walk that feels like being in the countryside, even through it is in the center of one of Englands big cities.
The cafe is a hobbit-esque building with handmade windows, countertops and tables, a newly added wood burning stove, hanging plants, batik print upholstery, hanging plants, lovely staff and the most beautiful shaggy dog.... The food is super awesome as well, with many of the fresh ingredients coming from the farm and its lands, and served in St Werbergs Local Steve Carter's own pottery!!
Not only is the Cafe pretty awesome but over the road is the City Farm itself, I take Alex there now but have been going there for 10 years.... I have a bit of a thing for Goats... I would love one :)

Cafe Hopping...
Being a shift worker and having 4 days off a week, I am a total sucker for a bit of cafe hopping. A latte here, a cup of tea there... with friends or even on with just the company of a good book (either to read, or to pretend to read, the perfect disguise for a bit of people watching). These are some of my favorite cafes from Pinterest, each chosen for their relaxing properties ... now all I need is a

A VIBRANT AND NOMADIC PAST has fed into every corner of this exciting space in Tel Aviv. Dreamt up by the ever-energetic Xoli, born in Hong-Kong and studied in Australia, Xoho, an arty café in the heart of the city is the result of Xoli’s experiment, bringing an artistic coffee culture to the Israeli city.
Xoli studied graphic design in Melbourne, deciding to move there after getting to know it during a two month visit, escaping the Hong-Kong SARS outbreak in 2004. On graduating Xoli followed her family to Tel Aviv. With some life-long friendships forged after a brief stint getting up to mischief at a Kibbutz years before, (a place where she was supposed to be learning Hebrew), Xoli alongside one of her Kibbutz companions Howie, decided to set up Café Xoho.
“Our aim was to breathe some creative life into an already saturated market of generic coffee shops in Tel Aviv. We are a home away from home. A living room bursting with wonderful aromas and the laughter of happy people.”
With artistic influences from her mother and a business minded father, it seems only natural that Xoli’s path lead her to established a buzzing hub of creative hospitality. One year after opening, Howie decided to back out of the venture returning back to law and sparing their friendship.
If one thing has become clear for Xoli, it’s that opening a café can be tough, and opening a café in Tel Aviv when you’ve only lived there a year, well that happens to be on another level completely
