Beautiful bohemian Art Nouveau bedding, ethnic rugs, hammocks to read in, sheepskin on the floor, stars on the walls, houseplants, pillows and cushions... what more could a girl want when creating a relaxing bedroom?

I have started my first shift as an A&E nurse today (so excited and scared) and know the job is going to be tough so I have been obsessing about creating the perfect relaxing bedroom. Candles, incense, velvet cushions and a stunning vintage crotchet blanket have....

 I am in the process of saving up for my first actual bed in 7 years.... the romantic notion of a mattress on the floor is wearing a little thin...

 It is the home of Kelly-Marie Burdekin, a British Prop Stylist, Designer/maker,Vintage Buyer and as of last month a vintage etsy store owner. Her love of vintage doesn't just extend to her home decor but her wardrobe too... such a cool gal!!

I have always wanted a four poster bed with curtains that close all the way round. I love feeling secure and unseen in my bed, being shut away from the world. At university I really didn't like having people in my dorm room, it was my little world to dream and ponder and post-uni it took ages to get used to having to share my bed space with Dan.... but of course I have learnt that the bedroom is also great, maybe even better, when shared :)

Have you watched Girls? I watched the whole first series in the last two days whilst trying to recover from night shifts. It is so funny, raw and mesmerising.

My favourite character was Jessa, she reminded me of a mixture of a few of my college friends combined. Jessa is played by British Born Artist/actress Jemima Kirke. I found these pictures of her home on The Glow and thought I would share. I love the warm. romantic, muted tones of this Brooklyn heights home.
