Untranslatable Words....
I just thought these illustrations of Untranslatable words from other cultures were really special and had to share with your guys. They are from Maptia

dear german anonymous: waldeinsamkeit is a word for sure! maybe not in this modern, anglicism loaded german - but read some classic novels or poetry then you will find it everywhere. i even know 1 or 2 guesthouses with this as name.
and it does not mean to be lonely in the woods - it describes the romantic of a german wood - which possible only germans can feel ;-)

ReplyDeleteI'm german and I'm sorry but I've never heard of an existing word calles Waldeinsamkeit. It makes sense and I understand it but it's not a word...
