Arent these pictures stunning? I love that brass bowl filled with crystals (bottom right).These beautiful calming images were found over at the Marvellous 'The Weaver House'. The images are of Oko a small gallery and storefront located in NW Portland, Oregon. Sadly there is no online shop so I will have to make do with their beautiful images gracing Facebook. . 

Revisited: Hannah and John from The general Store

When I first posted images of Hannah and Johns House here I totally fell in love with the chilled out vibe of the1975 Californian Home they share with their 2 children Lennon and Costa.

Unsurprisingly the owners of the fabulous 'General Store' have a beautiful relaxing home full of handmade treasures with not a single Ikea item on view. Handmade ceramics from Tracey Wilkinson and K&R ceramics sit atop the low level coffee table on top of the most beautiful thick pile rug I have ever seen and to the left that beautiful wooden lamp..... wow!

I don't know about you but when I was a kid I loved making dens/spaceships with my sister out of chairs and blankets. I was always so sad that I had to take down my secret spaceship  at the end of the day. Now I have little Alex I have been looking for kids room inspiration on Pinterrest and have found these awesome Teepees that look so awesome I am sure any adult would be happy to have one of these up in the sitting room as a permanent feature and I would love for him to have a special 'No Adults' space.

Dens and den building are really important to encourage children's imagination and sense of self and are sadly child psychologists have said that imaginative play is sadly becoming less and less common in todays ipad/t.v culture where adults have less time to spend with their children. So go on put down the remote and build your kid a den :)

I havent actually got a coffee table, I am not allowed one as aparently it will be just another place for me to accumulate more junk :)

I do love a good coffee table book though, i am currently browsing the pages of Taschens 100 Interiors around the World that Dan brought me for Christmas.. such a good book..... What about you guys? Any recommendations?

Pre-loved Peacock Chair

Her beautiful peacock chair is coming apart and in pre-loved condition, the artwork on the wall is eclectic, a huge collection of vinyl sits in boxes on the floor and amongst the healthy cookbooks I spy a bottle of Kraken Rum!.....Isn't it so refreshing to see that a rich and famous model like Erin Wasson has an eclectic stylish home instead of a clinical shiny white home like the rest of them?
