Sacred geometry: Stained Glass from Colin Adrian

Sacred Geometry Mandala

A few months ago I got to spend a whole weekend to myself whilst my son and his father went to the seaside for a few days. Not only did I get some time to relax alone (as a parent of a 3 year old this is a very rare luxury) I was also lucky enough to get a last minute cancellation spot on a stained glass mirror making workshop at Bristols Famous Folk House. You can see my little creation below.

The course was unbelievably wonderful. I had forgotten how much I loved being immersed in creative activities and quickly signed up to a stained glass window making one for this coming February.

Looking for inspiration I have come across a few wonderful artists making pieces that I would be supremely proud of, one of them is Colin Adrian, a US based artist. Although he also does a lot of beautiful colourful work I just love the above two calmer pieces.

Colin's work is available via his own website or via The Radder

A Certain Vibe: Big plants and Natural Staircases

The home of Gwen and Gawie Fagan
The home of Architect Ken Mefran

Over the years that I have been blogging my tastes have changed from cluttered and cozy to light and almost sparse. I have cleaned out a lot of my clutter (although I still have a lot hidden in the loft) and tend to make choices that incorporate natural textiles and forms.  I have a tiny little 1960's house but one thing I love about it are the huge windows throughout giving it a sense of openness.... they are also great for a house plant obsessive like myself..... the one thing I can not go minimal on.

The home of: Portland Tiny home of Coralie Hews

Wooden kitchen in Coralie's Tiny Portland home

Mmmmm, there is something so soothing about a wooden cabin.......the warmth of the wood and that amazing rich smell. Okay....... so i haven't personally visited this cabin but looking at the photos I can totally smell it and feel it :)

This tiny 250 square feet cabin in Portland is the home of Coralie Hews and was found via Apartment therapy. In the sea of white interiors around at the moment this one really stood out. Coralie rents the small cabin (originally an airbnb rental) off the owner who lives in the main house, and whom she shares the main house bathroom with.

Although the whole cabin is beautiful my favorite nook is definitely the kitchen, so simple and homely and lacking that generic sterile mass produced kitchen vibe.... the perfect kitchen to make some soup in your undies whilst dancing to a bit of Led Zep :)

Inspired by ..... Crystal Palace series by Kristina Sosarko

Inspired by......

I found the above image a while ago on Pinterest and instantly fell in love with not only its simplicity but also the mixture of woods and that stunning painting/print on the wall.

I have been looking for similar artwork ever since and recently stumbled upon the below print 'Crystal Palace no 1' from Inalux.

"Part of a collection spanning the last four years of black paintings, the Crystal Palace designs are created by Kristina Sostarko. Each design in the series was painted in gouache or ink, and now available as a fine art archival print. While the prints appear black and white, the base is a soft shade of creamy peach."

Jessica Agnew's hand beaded earrings

The Hand beaded earrings of Jessica Agnew

I have been following Jessica Agnew on Instagram for a couple of years. One of my insta-girl crushes since i discovered her via her interview with the wonderful Golddust collective. I had known of her as a potter and a musician but all of a sudden I became aware of her beautiful beaded earrings and it has been so great to see such a special persons work become really popular.

Now these stunning pieces are selling like hotcakes, and it is so much deserved but you have to be quick to get your hands on a pair.....

Jessica's work can be found via her webpage Canyon and the Creek and more regular updates can be found via her Instagram page @Jessica.lynne_

Moon to Moon

Moon to Moon : Smudge Sticks by Catherine Rising

So I have been absent on and off for a while. Work, motherhood, infertility have all been contributing factors..... life can be really fucking intense!!! Whilst caught in the intensity it can be so hard to take a step back and remember who you are, make time for looking after yourself and forget the importance of the things you enjoy doing just because.

Plants are magic magazine ... issue 2 out now... get yours here

Many times over the last few months I have sat here staring at the computer and thought "today i will compile a blog post" but the inspiration just wouldn't come. I would look at picture after picture of beautiful homes but began to feel nothing. Totally caught in a rut. I have toyed  for months with the idea of making Moon to Moon more of a lifestyle blog but been scared by the idea that readers come here for interiors and would no longer come here if it changed...... but actually (as much as i totally appreciate the loyalty of my magnificent readers) it is my place to come and chill. My mood board created initially to help me get through the stress of my nurse training.

Fentimans & Bloom's Gin and Rose Lemonade

This will never be a proper lifestyle blog. You aren't going to hear the ins and outs of my life, see pictures of my son modeling big brands, or cheesy images me endorsing hoovers etc... but I am going to share more of the beautiful things that I find along the way that I want to share and remember. Independent labels, handmade, homemade and thrifty finds.

On this post are some of the images I have shared on Instagram over the last few months of items that I have enjoyed or spotted :)

Geodesic Artic dome with a cob house inside.....

Geodesic Artic dome with a cob house inside

I love this 2 in one house, a geodesic dome with a cob house inside, and that view...

The house belongs to the Hjertefølgers and their 4 children, who moved in, in 2013. The geodesic dome protects the cob house and the inner garden from the elements. The inner cob home will always be okay as long as it is kept dry.
