Everything but the bathroom sink....

Flickr
I haven't posted as much as I have wanted to recently. My mind has been elsewhere.

I have been getting myself worried about the lack of nursing jobs here in the Uk, which has happened just in time for me qualifying. I never thought when I embarked on my new career path that nursing would be affected by the cuts, but sadly the NHS is suffering pretty badly.

It has however made me think about life and John Lennon's famous quote has become rather poignant
"life is what happens when your busy making other plans"
. Some times I get so bogged down with my work/student life that I let things that matter to me just float on by and I am too foggy brained to participate. I haven't even been going to yoga or the pub!

Things are going to change :)

Every time I come to your blog I want to rearrange my house, you bring out the gypsy in this old(sorta-62)hippie...I feel so bad for the kids with great career plans and no work available. Five years ago I started up my dog grooming biz again, as the antique biz needed a supplemental cash flow, it saved my butte, though I retired from it 15 years ago.

But my lil' pink shack is my sanctuary where dreams are played out and this single free bird languishes in life every second that I'm still breathing...

It has come to me, it will come to you, but then I don't ask for much, it just is what it is!

So many wonderful things to comment on but I especially love the Moorish tiles and brass tap and that little statue of Nandi in the top picture.
I hope you sort something out on the work front soon, too busy for the pub? That is a worry. x

Those first two photos are so dreamy to me!! I'd love to have that first bathroom sink area!
I like that you put yoga and the pub in the same sentence! And love the Lennon quote- couldn't be more true!!

the lennon quote really is so true! I can understand you for being to busy for yoga or the pub - but it might be good for you to attend at least one of them :) good luck anyway!

I hope you don´t get drawn down too much by worrying about the future, because that´s really paralyzing. Sometimes i have the same worries,as there are soooo many zoology students that are studying faster and more determined but i know that i will go my own way... hope this doesnt sound too all-knowing ;) oH and i haven´t visited a yoga class for this whole semester and i´m really missing it!

I say come to Australia too....we do yoga and pubs in the same sentence and are always looking for nurses especially in remote areas.
You remind me of a beautiful card I once saw...it said 'those who bring happiness to others - cannot keep it from themselves'
Chin Up, as they say in Aussie...she'll be right <3

Sad how our creative spark gets snuffed out by worry...I've been there, too. One foot in front of the other...life is full of surprises. :)

Stay positive! Not a huge amount of jobs here in the UK but we have to be positive!

Plus this post and pics are fantastic, especially like the last pic, the taps are so intricately detailed!
