The Home of.. Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour

Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley in their Shell Cottage Kitchen :)

There were some wonderful homes and interiors in the Harry Potter Films. My favourite was Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour's Shell Cottage, it kind of reminds me of my parents home in Wales, apart from the Shells.

The inside was shot in a studio but the building itself was actually built on Freshwater West beech in Pembrokeshire. Sadly it was torn down before I could move in. Such a shame... that kitchen was a dream !!

Just discovered your blog today (via pinterest) – awesome! :)

My mouth was wide open when I saw this house (especially the location) in the movie… :)
The Weasley's home (that burned down) also made an impression on me, but my favourite must be the tent in “the Goblet of Fire” (if I remember correctly)! Would love to live like that – a tent with several rooms in it… And with furniture! :) Hopefully there was a wooden stove too…

I remember loving that wee house in HP.
The kitchen was so beautiful.
I too would love living in such a wonderful cottage - minus the creepy dude in the bedroom though :D
Reminds me of "Bob" in Twin Peaks.

Great post! I'm a huge Potterhead & I also love interior design so I was curious as to how this particular home would be brought to life on film. In the books Bill & Fleur lived at Shell Cottage in the late 90s, but I really enjoy the fact that the film adaptation of their home doesn't seem "beached themed"/tacky/dated; it's ethereal & timeless.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I have always loved the Weasley's home. When we started collecting dishes from thrift stores, to have enough plates and bowls I told my husband how mismatched they all would be. He said, that's okay, it will be like the Weasley's home. :) I like mismatched anyway.

I think my second favorite home in the Harry Potter world is Luna's. :) But she's also my favorite character (as my blog is pretty much named after her).

Loved this post!

But Why would such a Unique Treasure be razed? So sad... Thankfully there are Images to Preserve it in Memory at least.
