Although arguably there are some beautiful pristine condition textiles available on the high street there is nothing more rewarding than getting your hands on a one off quality piece. A simple search on etsy or eBay will open the doors to some beautiful Kantha's from India, Otomi from Mexico, Suzani's from Uzebekistan, Kelim from Morocco or Harris tweed that costs roughly the same as the high street copies but has been made by true textile artists. The originals are also such beautiful quality.

Not only are these pieces great as individual pieces but as you can see from the image below if chosen in similar hues, textiles from allover the world look great layered together.
