ZenBunni: Biodynamic Chocolate

It's Easter weekend.... and that means Chocolate!!!

So what better way to celebrate the mighty medicinal food stuff than a post dedicated to what I can only say are the most special chocolates I have ever had..... ZenBunni!

I first noticed ZenBunni chocolate popping up on a friends Instagram Feed and was drawn in by the beautiful colour wheel on the packaging, the awesome logo and the words  'bio dynamic chocolate'.

I contacted the marvelous Zen and Bunni and they sent over some of their beautiful chocolates  for me to try, including the Rainbow Pack featuring 9 of their best selling flavors including my personal favorites Cali Almond, made with beautiful chunks of Californian Almonds and Kathmandu Chai that actually did taste like my favorite drink!

The box arrived and was as stunning in 'person' and inside the 9 individually wrapped chocolates sat with a beautiful little quartz crystal to "super charge the love in your chocolates." Well I don't know if it was the skill of the choclatiers or the quartz, (I am guessing it was the combination of the two) but there was certainly a lot of magic and love in that box.

As mentioned before my favorite was the Cali Almond, but they were all absolutely stunning including the Lavender Lemuria made with Lavender sourced from a Lavender labyrinth, cultivated for decades by husband and wife farmers on holy Native American Land. You see, it is this beautiful attention to detail is what makes ZenBunni chocolates so special. Not only have Zen and Bunni ensured the ingredients are Organic but also harvested from bio-dynamic farms... so what does bio-dynamic mean I hear you ask?

"Biodynamic farmers manage their farms—including fields, woods, wetlands, plants, animals and people—as a self-contained, self-sustaining organism. They don’t use GMOs, synthetic chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides.
Biodynamic methods are designed to stimulate and sustain the farm’s inherent fertility, health and terroir through the integration of crops and livestock, the restoration of on-farm biodiversity, and thoughtful cooperation with the influences of the sun, moon and planets on the earth.
Biodynamics also incorporates the use of nine preparations made from fermented manure, herbs (yarrow, chamomile, stinging nettle, oak bark, dandelion, valerian and horsetail) and the mineral silica. The biodynamic preparations are used as field sprays and in the making of compost to stimulate specific processes within the farm.
Another unique aspect of biodynamic agriculture is the attention paid to the influences and rhythms of the sun, moon and planets."

I really cant recommend these beautiful chocolates enough. They would make the perfect present for any chocolate lover, and even better as a treat for yourself.

To purchase some of these beautiful chocolates visit their site here or if you are lucky enough to live in or near Venice, California you can visit their magical rabbit warren store for yourselves!!

A massive thank you to Zen and Bunni for letting me try your beautiful chocolates. You can truely taste the love xx
