Janis Joplin Inspired Interiors...

Janice Joplin: Pearl Cover

Eames house living room

Incense and Kilim

Woodstock Handmade houses

Janis Joplin is my current obsession and I love that top picture. Velvet, hues of red, kilim, a carved wooden chair and a beautiful wooden home. What is not to love :)

I am on the hunt for some good red kilim ....

LOVE that post, what a great inspiration for a bohemian home! Love wooden homes, too. Sad we don't have something here in the area I live but maybe one day we build our own wooden house. Good luck for the kelim hunt. xx

What a fabulous idea, to link such an icon to home decorating. When I was growing up in San Francisco surrounded by musicians I thought everyone's home looked like this. So many did! Love those carpets and all the colour, brings back many memories. Minerva x

I too am in love with kilim. I'd love a kilim rug and some kilim rug pillows. Great post.

Love Janis Joplin! She was fabulous! She had such an amazing voice and so much talent. It's interesting how some of the most talented individuals are so lost. I think she and other artists like Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, and Whitney Houston, were so lost. It's sad. I would not call myself a hippy, because honestly, I don't like labels, but I love the clothes, the music, and maybe not so much all of the decor from that time, but some of it is pretty neat.
