These beautiful kitchens prove that you do not need a huge budget to spend on a shiny new kitchen to create an inspiring space to create your favorite recipes....... What I love about the three kitchens above is that the work surfaces and kitchen storage are actually secondary to the beautiful pieces of well loved and carefully selected crockery and utensils.

Handcrafted wooden spoons, earthenware and shiny copper pans steal the show in these rooms and I would personally love to make a good batch of hearty soup in any of these rooms :)

As my regular readers will know I don't usually work with larger corporations but I am a total eBay addict, especially for my own home furnishings. I really try to only buy second hand these days for ethical reasons and because I find the high street rarely inspires me. Why buy a Kantha copy when you can have the real deal for the same price or cheaper?

When eBay asked me to put together some guides I was so thrilled. Not only am I a total eBay addict but I love creating these guides and sharing my passions with you guys. So my first one is one of my main loves in life....

Working as an Emergency Department Nurse, meditation has become an essential activity in my daily life to help beat the blues and keep me calm in and after work.

Meditation is an excellent way to unwind after a hectic day. Regular practice has been proven to help lower blood pressure and relieve anxiety. Practiced in the morning it can help set the tone of the day , practiced at night it can help you slip gently off to sleep.

The good news is you don’t have to have a dedicated room or spend big bucks to create your own little sacred space. Find a calm corner in your house and set up your meditation essentials.....

A Winter Retreat...

The Reveal...

I can finally reveal the 'secret project' that I have been working on with eBay as part of their 'Shop the World' campaign. My brief from eBay was to choose a seasonal image and create a collection of items from eBay inspired by the Image. I am a massive eBay addict so an excuse to spend even more time looking for pretty things guilt free has been a real luxury, although I ended up buying a couple of items before they made it to the final edit.... whoops!

The Image...

The image above is probably my favorite of the year so far. I featured it a few weeks ago, but at the time had no idea where this beautiful room was. After plenty of reader feedback I established it is a Bed and Breakfast called The White Nyle in Antwerp. This beautiful b&b is decorated head to toe in stunning finds from across the African Continent and is the perfect place for a winter retreat. I can just imagine snuggling up on the beautiful Kilim seating, sipping warming peppermint tea and reading the Ranulph Fiennes book I have been meaning to read for ages.... bliss!

I am not a blogger that usually promotes larger corporations but eBay is genuinely one of my all time favorite sites. 80% of my baby's nursery and clothes have been brought from eBay and my own wardrobe is full of eBay bargains. So when eBay asked if I would like to be part of their UK launch of Collections I jumped at the chance. I have 12 collections which are constantly changing and being updated... because things sell fast!!

The above collection is just a few items from my collection Bohemian Bedroom. Although the bedspread is bright the other elements are neutral and calming. This collection was inspired by images from the book 'Gypsy' by Sibella Court.
