Exam stress

I am busy revising for 3 exams on Friday. Biology, Psychology and Sociology, so I am a little stressed. So todays post is to remind me to relax, breathe and chill.

Little round tables

I love these tables. They always used to have a huge stock of vintage ones in my local vintage furniture shop, but as soon as i wanted one they seemed to magically sell out!

The Pouffe

Images from Flickr, and Graham and Green

I love Pouffe's. I have had a bit of an obsession with them for a couple of years now. I love the idea of using them as little tables, like in the third picture. I am also in love with the floor lamp in the bottom picture, but umming and ahhing over it as it is rather expensive.

A well deserved lie in

Doesn't  this bed just look so cosy.  It is the kind of bed where you wake up at midday with the sun on your face feeling totally refreshed from the well deserved deep long sleep you just had.

Not so keen on that painting but that could be easily fixed

Where ever you have woken up this morning I hope you have had the lie in's you deserve

Donna Karen's house

I don't know if i am a fan of her clothes because, well quite frankly I have never paid any attention, but one thing is for sure the lady has taste. The above and below are from her New York apartment, although I am more one for smooth edges, I wouldn't mind this bathroom and I am a big big fan of low furniture.

The Picture below is from her Home in the British West Indies.WOW, she even has a yoga hut and private beach. Sigh

Where's the clutter?

My boyfriends parents live in the most beautiful house on the top of a hill overlooking a valley and the sea. I really love the place, it has crisp white walls, a whole wall of windows, perfectly matching natural wood furniture and built in bookcases. It is one of the most relaxing places ever, and housesitting for them is never a chore.

However, one thing always plays on my mind, where is all their stuff? Extra loo rolls, random purchases, ebay finds, where are they?

Although it is beautiful and relaxing I am not sure i could ever live in a home where everything has a place. The pictures above are my compromise, in varying levels they all still have a minimal feel, but with added stuff

A passion for fashion

I am a Tarurean, and unfortunately that is supposed to make me rather materialistic, and I hate to admit it but it i so so true. I really don't care to much about money (I am a nurse, we don't get paid much), but I love beautiful things, and clothes are such a big passion of mine.

I have started to collect vintage clothing and have recently spent a very large amount on a beautiful 1930's dress but it was oh so worth it. Any way so this has got me thinking about storage, it seems so mean to keep these beautiful garments in a wardrobe shut away from the world.

Wouldn't it be marvellous if you could have a whole room dedicated to those beautiful garments? Put all those bags and shoes on display. It would certainly make getting ready to go out a lot easier.

Teak Bed head

A beautiful teak bed head

I am searching for that perfect bed head at the moment, like the one above but smaller. Isn't it gorgeous?
