I just wanted to say a massive thank you so much for all the beautiful comments and likes on my last post and on my instagram feed. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and well wishes, it really is very humbling...
So I had my doctors appointment on Tuesday and I am pleased to say it was very, very good news. For the last 9-10 years I have had a brain tumor and have been taking medication to stop it growing. I never in my wildest dreams would think that it could actually disappear, but turns out the treatment worked and the tumor is gone, with no leftover effects!!!
It is very good news and I am thrilled... but it has also left me feeling a little strange and numb.... Although I am a nurse and know it is good to talk about emotions, I never liked to talk about 'it' with my friends and family, I guess because I always had quite morbid thoughts about what could happen.
But it hasn't happened, so now I can start planning for the future as a 'healthy' person. I have a three day pottery course over this weekend and next, perfect way to heal and reflect. Handmade Hanging Plant pots here I come!!

Wow! Happy for you. Sometimes good news can seem removed, detached. It's kinda normal. It's that "Now what?"-feeling. Now what? The rest of your glorious life!
Celebrate! drink wine, eat chocolate, make love, laugh and make plans for your future.
This news makes me so happy xx
Wow, and all the best x
Wow, such amazing news! I have been following your blog for over a year and I'm loving every bit of it, but I'm not so frequent when it comes to commenting on things.. I just soak up the goodness of your blog and enjoy it. But this is truly amazing, I wish this feeling of freedom will stay with you for the rest of your life and you have many happy and healthy days to come! xx Kim
Sooo happy for you!!! I have had a quote on my ipad home page that reads " even miracles take time" recently as inspiration after a crushing year. I was just hoping very much that it was true but yeay,It is!My heart is absolutely filled with joy for you Love! You are a beautiful spirit on our earth and your posts have given me a super inspirational fun spot to visit on some of the darkest days. Thank you for that and a long long happy life filled with magic for you!XO
Fantastic news girl. You will feel weird - just let yourself feel what you will. You have been through a serious ordeal which will have all sorts of emotional stuff attached to it. Just watch it go by, and bid it farewell. That sucker is outta town! congrats xx
I'm a 65 year-old woman from Oregon in the US. I check your blog when I need a diversion or cheering up. It never fails, possibly because it brings out my inner gypsy. That was my favorite Halloween costume growing up.
I was so surprised to read your post today and find your reference to your previous post about your returned health. I would never have guessed-- you've done a wonderful job of carrying on in spite of your burden. What wonderful news! My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago with a cancer with a low survival rate. But a miracle has happened there as well. I am so pleased that you both have a new lease on life.
Now, I'm going back to your houseplant pics. That's something else I love about your blog!
Such wonderful and amazing news, and what a huge weight lifted off your shoulders! Best wishes for continued good health. :)
Praise God. I am happy for you. Life is new again! And BTW, I so enjoy your blog.
Gabi.....I could not be more thrilled for you. You are a young woman and have your whole life ahead of you.

So glad to read this good news and know you'll be around bringing us lots and lots of gorgeousness. Not go celebrate!
Gabi, You write with such feeling and capture in words the beauty of the rooms and objects you share with us. I had often thought that your senses were very elevated, so often the case with one whose life has been threatened. So pleased you have had this good news. Enjoy each day. xxxx
Hey Gabi, I am so pleased to hear your news! The work you do here brightens my world so much. I am literally at this moment in time renovating my home with your blog as my inspiration :)
I wish you health and happiness always. Enjoy your pottery weekend! It sounds like a perfect celebration.

Thank you for sharing ~ being a nurse or medically trained can sometimes be worse I think when your unwell cos you become aware of all the possibilities but hopefully you allow your wonderful knowledge to work for you and not against you.
Life really is amazing and I'm so happy for you that this weight is now off your shoulders.
Blessings to you Gabi and all the best for the future which is...NOW!!!
