Current Obsession: Tetsubin Teapots

Tetsubin: Cast Iron Teapot from Japan

Tetsubin cast iron Teapot

My current obsession is these little Tetsubin teapots from Japan. They are made from Cast Iron so they are pretty heavy, but good news if you are a klutz like me, they are pretty much indestructible. Hurrah!!

A google or ebay search will bring up a glorious selection of colours in your own country. Here in the UK I found Gifts of the Orient to have a great selection of colours and styles.

Beautiful Post - I have an obsession for tea and teapots - and my favorites are from asia. I made the mistake of putting a small one on the stove and ruined the bottom - so now its just a display. learned my lesson on that one.
