Rainbow in The Dark.....

" Dark, Light, Mysterious, Gypsy and Psychedelic. Shot in the hinterland of Byron Bay By curator Sally Patti. Featuring incredible vintage by Theendcollective and Jewellery By Vice Jewellery. This house was hand built in the seventies and has a hippie commune vibe. Filled with nick nacks, crystals, books and antique gypsy trinkets from decades ago. There was not a single door in the whole house and the nature outside was welcomed indoors. Loft beds and holes in the floor. The perfect place to loose your mind. "

The other day my friend Georgie (owner of the fabulous Luna Rose Vintage) led me to a picture of this awesome photoshoot by Sally Patti that she had found on Instagram. My heart jumped. This beautiful shoot, shot outside Bryon bay is literally like something from my dreams!!

I have always wanted my own little bohemian/witchy chill out retreat in the woods and this is pretty much exactly how I imagined it!

Pianos Rock

The Romantic Bohemian Home of Erika Tanov and Steven Emerson, Berkley Hills...from The New Bohemians by Justina Blakeney
Piano and Molar Piano stool.... hand made by Home owner Kieren
The botanical home of.... Musician Mileece Petre

Open Piano
Farmhouse PIano
I love Pianos. I think it is because I spent a great deal of my teens 'air piano-ing' to Tori Amos and then Fiona Apple. The Piano always seemed so elegant yet kinda cool.

My dad never brought me one as he said I had to learn the keyboard first to prove I would be committed, sadly I never felt inspired by the keyboard (although I do secretly love a bit of synth-pop) so my bohemian rock goddess on a piano dream was never realized!

One day, when I don't live in a matchbox sized house I will have one, maybe Alex will grow up to be a Freddie Mercury!!

Mirror Magic..... Ways to incorprate mirrors into your home

Painted Mirror
Those old fashioned dark wood Victorian mirrors that always look so gloomy and austere look great painted modern colours and create an eye catching center piece in the dining room

Large teak Mirro

If like mine, your inner walls are not all solid brick then rather than risk an accident why not lean large heavy full length mirrors against the wall. This beautiful heavy teak mirror looks great rested on the pink rattan table... A perfect look for a bedroom

Vintage Mirrors: I would love to do this in my bathroom

Although gaining popularity and therefore price, these beautiful vintage mirrors are still relatively cheap and look great as a collection. This look is perfect for a bathroom or hallway.

Large Antique Convex Mirrors

Antique beauty
I love round mirrors anyway, but the fact hat these mirrors are slightly deteriorating just adds to the beauty for me.

I just love this beautiful Seattle home of Homestead owners Michelle and Ryan. The home is just so perfectly curated, every item is stunning and just fits!..... and that circle shelf is just to die for isn't it?

Homestead Seattle sells antique and vintage furniture and home goods. Michele and Ryan Tansey, are the founders and owners and live and have a photography studio in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle.

Our shop’s mission is to curate a collection of one of a kind and rare pieces with a current look. It’s our belief that vintage furnishings are pieces of history and we want to see them in the homes that they deserve. We’re happy to be able to save, preserve and extend the lives of the items in our shop.

Homestead was built on the idea that supporting small businesses and buying second hand is the eco-friendly and culturally ethical way to shop. We are a small family business and we shop small whenever possible.

Double Peacock Chairs....

The lovely Vanessa from Honey Wood Vintage and her beautiful Twin Peacock chair

Ever since seeing Vanessa from the rather fabulous HoneyWood Vintage's  double Peacock chair I have become a little obsessed. I could however only find one other image on the web! Turns out unlike their single Peacock chair cousins these retro beauties are a real rarity!
