Magazines sprawled across the floor. Mismatched furniture.Coffee and Incense. Vintage Lamps sat on battered hand-me-down tables. Bob Dylan played on your mums old Record player. Tea stains on the rug. A slight headache from too much Rioja at lasts nights dinner party. Sat on the floor in your PJ's at 1pm. This is what Sundays are made of....

Plenty of cushions,  large ethnic rugs, plants and a bookcase bursting at the seams, my idea of a perfect siting room! The top one is my favourite I love wooden homes and leather furniture.

I have had lots of emails asking where to buy home wears, I though rather than produce a list I thought I would try and put together some little themed purchases after some of the posts with a variety of shops and price ranges, hopefully there will be something for all budgets. What can I say but wow! What luxury! I love these bohemian style rooms all from Martyn Lawrence-Bullard design. I have a bit of an obsession with rich velvet sofas and vintage rugs at the moment and that top picture ticks both those boxes.

I have just started a new job on a really really busy ward. After 5 months of looking after lovely old ladies who were waiting to be discharged home, looking after detoxing alcoholics with serious liver problems is to say the least a challenge. I can see I am going to love this speciality, but 4 days in I am craving a lazy chilled out sping morning, in my p.j's listening to music, with some tea and toast and the smell of nag champra wafting around my house.

 Luckily I have the weekend off to do just that.... yippy!

When I was younger my friend Charlotte's parents house had a kitchen extension that was kind of like the first picture. I was so in love with the light airy-ness(?) of that room and have always thought that eventually this is what I would like to aim for in my own home. So now we may potentially be buying our rented house off the landlord maybe just maybe I can get my dream.

Opulent and eclectic. Probably as close to my dream home as I think I have seen, but not enough books

I love the eclectic shabby-ness of these living / sitting rooms, perfect for lounging around with a good book.

I am a real hoarder. As long as I remember my parents have been big collectors, getting obsessed with a particular type of pottery or glassware and searching antiques shops for that next exiting find (I used to love going to weekend antique fairs, my sister and I would look at the pretty vintage jewellery pretending which pieces we were going to buy).

Unlike my parents I never buy anything of worth or value, but I am such a magpie for anything un-British looking. My dream home is a dusty, eclectic treasure chest of rare findings from all over the world that I would have found in an Indiana Jones/ Victorian explorer type way :)

Sadly my boyfriend is more of a minimalist  type of dude.

There is nothing like a beautiful rug to help create a cozy relaxed interior. I am a big fan of Kilim rugs at the moment but they are so expensive, I am keeping an eye out on ebay for a bargain. For more rug heavy interiors see here.

To create instant bohemian glamour and style to your home try adding a Moroccan pouffe, this beautiful battered one looks great on a kilim rug

Moroccan pouffes are another way to add a bohemian element to your home. Perfect for using as a tables with a silver tray balanced on top, as foot-rests or just as pure decoration. A simple google search will throw up plenty of results but shops like Grahame and Green and Anthopologie will sell and deliver world wide. Other specialist online stores such as Moroccan Bazaar and Moroccan decor also sell them and of course there is the always handy ebay and etsy for the bargains and one offs.
