Painted Stairs.....

A beautiful Painted Rainbow Staircase

Painted Stairs
In the UK it is traditional to carpet the stairs but I love these painted staircases. Whether it is rainbow or gradiented like above or block colour like below, painting the stairs is a cheaper option than carpet and adds a bit of fun and pop of colour to an otherwise plain and hard to decorate part of the home.

All the homes in the pictures I have chosen are so different and yet the colour instantly transforms  the homes, especially in the 3rd image, which (in my opinion) looks really sterile apart from the fun stairs

I really love the blue stairs in the picture above. Such a fun entrance to a child's bedroom/ secret world :)

Kitchen: DIY Branch Pot Hanger

Photography : Carolyn and Jaden of Woodnote Photography and featured in Kinfolk magazine
If you are looking for a beautiful yet cheap update to your kitchen why not try making this branch pot hanger. It couldn't be cheaper to make...... some thick rope and a branch is really all you need..... The trickiest bit will be trying to find the perfect branch!

It is the perfect place to show off your pots and pans and dry some herbs.

Ever since I first saw the images of NeSpoons beautiful lacy Urban art a few years ago I have dreamt of decorating the pavements in my home town of Bristol with some pretty stencil art. Luckily, being the home of Banksy, Bristol is known for its street art and most street corners have some Graffiti so I would defiantly get away with it.

However also as tempting is to use stencils to decorate the floors in my home. The floors in the Free People Philadelphia store, for instance have really caught my eye and would certainly brighten up my Kitchen.

Of course this stencil art can also be applied to the garden patio, my illustrator and blogger friend Emily is using a stencil similar to the bottom image to brighten up her patio, I cant wait to see the results!
