A few months ago I got to spend a whole weekend to myself whilst my son and his father went to the seaside for a few days. Not only did I get some time to relax alone (as a parent of a 3 year old this is a very rare luxury) I was also lucky enough to get a last minute cancellation spot on a stained glass mirror making workshop at Bristols Famous Folk House. You can see my little creation below.

The course was unbelievably wonderful. I had forgotten how much I loved being immersed in creative activities and quickly signed up to a stained glass window making one for this coming February.

Looking for inspiration I have come across a few wonderful artists making pieces that I would be supremely proud of, one of them is Colin Adrian, a US based artist. Although he also does a lot of beautiful colourful work I just love the above two calmer pieces.

I was so excited when I saw a little sneak peak of Stina from Mother Mountain Herbals and Sherise  from The Radder were joining forces to create limited edition set. I have been a big fan of both ladies and their work for a while so a collaboration is very exciting!!! I was even more excited when Stina and Sherise agreed for Moon to Moon to get the exclusive sneak peak coverage to share with you guys before they go on sale tonight , in time for the Harvest Full Moon.....

So I asked Stina to tell Moon to Moon a little bit more about the collaboration and their inspiration.....

"Like a lot of women I know, Sherise and I met on Instagram. It's been a great platform for making friends near and far. Initially we really connected with each other's aesthetic, but then became email buddies. She was posting some of her ceramics under the hashtag #softsunsets and I fell in love with her work. I asked if she wanted to do a collaboration with me for some new products I'm launching, so she created the little mask mixing dishes. We haven't discussed making more sets yet, but that could definitely be a possibility! I think it would be fun to do something seasonally."

So, what does the set include ?...

A collaborative skin care set to delight the senses. Includes Lavender Milk Mask, Beltane Facial Nectar, and 1 gorgeous handmade ceramic dish by Sherise Lee of The Radder.

LAVENDER MILK MASK
A brand spanking new MMH product! Skin softening coconut milk comes together with soothing lavender flower powder for an exquisitely rich and moisturizing botanical face mask. A touch of hand foraged violet leaf and USA made bentonite clay make this a wonderfully gentle tonic for skin that needs a bit of TLC. This is a hydrating mask that is suitable for all skin types. A gorgeous hand forged ceramic dish crafted by Sherise Lee of The Radder. Glazed with beautiful soft pink, blue-violet, and milky washes of white. Perfect for mixing masks or displaying tiny trinkets and jewelry.

Current Obsession: Haptic Lab's Constellation Quilt

I really, really love this Constellation Quilt from Haptic lab that I found over at Sparton Shop. It would be awesome as a quilt on the bed or as a wall hanging.

The 100% cotton 60" quilt features embroidered gold stars in the October night sky at around the 40th parallel in the Northern Hemisphere, Tiny French knots are used to render the Milky Way as a tactile field that crosses the quilt design in a sweeping diagonal. 

The quilt is handmade in Brooklyn. 

Flowering Tea from The Exotic Teapot

Flowering Tea from the Exotic Teapot: My Mouth Blown Glass Teapot and 'Heart of Gold' flowering tea 

Last week I was introduced by a friend to the website of The Exotic Teapot, and was beyond excited to discover Flowering Teas..... ummm, how did I miss these?

Well, I have made up for it since and by Friday have received a Classic Discovery Tea Set featuring a beyond beautiful mouth blown glass teapot and a starter set of 5 different Flowering teas....... first on my list was (being a Neil Young fan) of course 'Heart of Gold'.... a Maofeng green tea, with lily, and marigold flowers and fragrant jasmine...

Pouring the water from the kettle, I was like a little kid in a sweetshop.... so, so excited. At first I was a bit worried as the tea ball floated to the top, but it soon sunk and started un-raveling into the most awesome little bouquet.

I waited a few minutes ... took a few photos .... and then poured myself a mug. I was a little apprehensive about trying the tea..it could have been one of those gimmicks that looked good but didn't deliver.... it wasnt. The tea is beautiful!

The great thing is that the tea ball can be used 3 times without the tea becoming bitter.

I would definitely recommend Flowering Teas and The Exotic teapot, my set arrived within a couple of days, beautifully wrapped and in a pretty presentation box. The set is perfect for a tea lover, not only are the flowering teas really cool but the glass teapot is perfect for brewing any loose or bagged teas. It will certainly make my Rose Tea look a lot prettier than when served in my 1980's brown teapot.... not bad for £26!!

The Discovery Flowering tea set contains a Glass Teapot and 5 assorted flowering teas... next on my list Jasmine :)

These beautiful loop rugs are from Kneeland and Mercado and are so dreamy aren't they? I first saw one in the extreamly beautiful Home of John and Hannah, from The General Store and fell in love.

I would love to get out of bed and feel one of these beautiful rugs under my feet, wouldnt you ?

Aren't these houses all just so dreamy? They are all so beautiful, I don't have a clear favorite. The beautiful organic shapes and attention to detail are such a contrast to the square box's most of call home. The majority of the homes in the book are West Coast American homes and sadly they would not last in the rainy cold UK.

All these beautiful images of beautiful wooden and cob houses are from the Book Handmade Houses by Richard Olsen. Olsen is a writer and photographer specializing in rustic and environmental domestic architecture, and was previously senior architecture editor for Architectural Digest.

It was the top picture of a wooden bedroom that actually made me start Moon to Moon all those many Moons ago. I have spent so much time studying the picture and wishing I was in that room, lying on that bed, staring out the window, breathing in the smell of nag champra and listening to a bit of Dylan. Bliss....

It has taken a while to find images of rooms that have the same vibe or mystery, but here they are... my dream bedrooms. Simple, wooden and handmade...
